The test package is placed in a frozen food storage room and a cold room for performance testing, or in a freezer and refrigerator for freezing capacity testing. It has a rectangular parallelepiped shape and simulates the freezing load of food.

Test bag requirements:

AS1731 test bag requires that the filling bag is made of a plastic shell with a thickness of 1mm. This plastic cannot be porous or foam. The appearance requires that the surface of the filling material should be free of protrusions, and the relative surface should be smooth and parallel. The color should not be affected by the surrounding heat radiation and should be light colors, such as light pink, light blue, or light green. The filling bag should be composed of porous materials, such as natural rubber or porous sponge and water.

  1. The freezing point of the test package is -1℃ (Its thermal performance is equivalent to lean beef)
  2. When measured in ice greenhouse, must use the  -5℃ test package.
  3. You cannot use in test of testing freezing capacity and load temperature rise time.
  4. M package means the 500g test package, it equipped with a thermocouple in the geometric center to measure the temperature. The thermocouple contact the package directly.

Storage method:

Avoid light and store in a cool place. (Refrigerated storage is recommended)
