The pendulum impact hammer test apparatus mainly consists of a pendulum with its upper end swinging in a vertical plane around its pendulum axis. The pendulum axis is 1000mm above the measuring point. The pendulum consists of a rigid pendulum axis and a matching impact element. For test samples that are heavier, larger in size or difficult to carry, a handheld pendulum can be used for testing.

Application:

It is used for impact resistance testing of household and similar electrical and electronic products and their plugs and sockets, wall-mounted boxes, screw glands, covers, switches, lamps and other accessories to assess the safety performance and strength level of the products.

Technical Parameters:

  1. Impact element mass: 150±1g(0.2) / 200±1g(0.5) (optional);
  2. Mounting bracket quality: 10±1Kg;
  3. Bracket rotation angle: ±180° arbitrarily adjustable;
  4. Pendulum shaft length: 1000±1mm;
  5. Swing shaft material: steel pipe with outer diameter of 9 mm and wall thickness of 0.5 mm;
  6. Pendulum shaft mass: 1mm=1g;
  7. Impact height: 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 400mm.

IEC60068-2-75 Pendulum Impact Hammer Test equipment - Schematic

Choose the drop height:

1. Place the pendulum shaft in the guide and install the blocking pin.

2. The drop height is selected according to the equivalent mass of the selected impact energy hammerhead and can be measured by the steel ruler and the height indicator.

Energy /J 0.14 0.2 (0.3) 0.35 (0.4) 0.5 0.7 1 2
equivalent mass /kg 0.25 (0.2) 0.25 (0.2) 0.25 (0.2) (0.2) 0.25 0.25 0 .25 0.5
drop height ±1%mm 56 (100) 80 (150) 140 (200) (250) 200 280 400 400

Notice:

  1. The pendulum impact test device must be firmly secured to the wall to ensure safety.
  2. The pendulum impact test device should not be installed in a higher position, and it is better to be 60 cm below the ground.
  3. During the test, the control handle can be placed as far as possible on the side of the device, and should not stand directly below the device.
  4. When replacing the fixture, please do so with someone’s assistance.
  5. The height indication of the instrument is for reference only. Please use other length measuring tools to determine the drop height to reduce the measurement error.
  6. Regularly add lubricating oil to the adjusting screw and seat to ensure smooth adjustment.
  7. When the impact hammer is not tested, it should be properly protected from collision.
  8. Environmental conditions required: temperature 5 ~ 35 ° C , humidity 45 ~ 75%.
