HVR-4 horizontal vertical combustion tester is mainly used to grade and evaluate the flammability of V-0, V-1, V-2, HB, 5V grade materials. It is suitable for the research, production and quality inspection departments of electrical and electronic products and their components such as lighting equipment, low-voltage electrical appliances, household appliances, machine tool electrical appliances, motors, power tools, electronic instruments, electrical instruments, electrical connectors and accessories, and is also suitable for the insulation material, engineering plastics or other solid combustible material industries.

Instructions for use of horizontal and vertical combustion test chambers:

The horizontal vertical combustion test mainly refers to UL 94-2006, IEC 60695-11-4, IEC 60695-11-3, GB/T5169-2008 series and other standards. It uses a Bunsen burner of specified size and a specific gas source (methane or propane). The horizontal or vertical test sample is ignited several times at a certain flame height and a certain flame angle. The duration and length of ignition and burning of the test sample are used to evaluate its flammability and fire hazard.

The combustion chamber shall have a volume of at least 0.5 m3. The combustion chamber door shall have a large viewing glass to allow observation of the test in progress, and the chamber shall be freely ventilated to allow normal thermal circulation of the air through the test specimen during the combustion process.
