IEC 60695 IE C60884 Ball Pressure Test Device – BONAD Electrical Appliance Testing Equipment
Test Principle
The test involves placing the specimen on the platform of a constant temperature box set at 125±2℃. A pressure ball connected to a loading device applies a load of 20N on the specimen for one hour. After this period, the specimen is removed and soaked in water at 20℃±5℃ for 10 seconds. The indentation diameter is then measured; if it is within 2mm, the specimen passes the test.
The Ball Pressure Test Apparatus consists mainly of a loading device and a specimen holder. The loading device features a pressure ball with a diameter of 5 mm, connected to symmetrical weight systems designed to apply a downward load of 50 N, including the mass of the pressure ball. The specimen holder, made from tough stainless steel, has a smooth surface that firmly supports the specimen in a horizontal position and withstands the load from the device. Its large mass prevents significant temperature drops when installing and removing specimens from the heating furnace.
