IEC62133 Battery Extrusion Puncture Tester – Safeguarding Battery Safety
Test description:
The test should be carried out at an ambient temperature of 20℃±5℃. The servo motor applies pressure, and the fully charged single cell or unit battery is placed in two planes for squeezing. The battery is squeezed or punctured perpendicular to the plate direction with an extrusion force of 13KN±0.78KN (pressure can be customized). Once the pressure is greater than the maximum value, the extrusion test can be stopped. The extrusion test verifies the safety performance of the battery. During the test, the battery does not have an external short circuit. The tested battery is qualified if it does not explode or catch fire.
Safety protection system:
- Equipped with a fuse-free protection switch.
- Test chamber: extreme over-temperature, fan and motor overheat relay protection.
- Power supply: leakage protection, overload and short circuit protection.
- Temperature and humidity zero-crossing thyristor power controller protection.
