UL 2580 Battery Pack Rollover Tester – Power Battery Safety Test
The battery safety performance is tested through the flip test, and the equipment tests the data in real time. After the test, the battery is required not to catch fire, explode, or smoke, and the connection is reliable and the structure is intact. The insulation resistance value after the test is not less than 100Ω/V. This equipment is a special testing instrument for power battery pack or system safety test.
Test requirements:
- The test object is a battery pack or system;
- The test object rotates 360° around the X axis at a speed of 6%s, then rotates in 90° increments, keeps for 1h every 90° increment, stops after 360° rotation, and observes for 2h;
- The test object rotates 360° around the V axis at a speed of 6°/s, then rotates in 90° increments, keeps for 1h every 90° increment, stops after 360° rotation, and observes for 2h;
- Requirements: The battery pack or system has no leakage, shell rupture, fire or explosion, and maintains reliable connection and intact structure. The insulation resistance value after the test is not less than 100Ω/v.
