IEC 62552 Test Package for Freezing Load Testing in Refrigerators

Type:BND-RT01/RT02/RT03/RT04

Our test package, designed for frozen food storage compartment and ice greenhouse performance testing, offers a comprehensive solution for evaluating the freezing capability of refrigerators. With the IEC 62552 guidelines as the foundation, this test package allows you to simulate the load capacity of frozen food and ensure optimal performance of your refrigerator.

Instructions:

1.Need at below zero temperature condition when long storing, the optimum temporary is -18℃.

2.Thawing: Should be natural thawed at room temperature, don’t use such as microwave ovens, electromagnetic ovens to thaw.

3.Freezing: Beware of deformation when test package begin to freeze. Need repair timely if they have been deformed. The correct way is freezing in batches, when lower test package has completely freezing, add another one above it. This can prevents the lowermost test package by extrusion.

4.Seal: Keeping in sealed condition, once package is damaged should be repaired or discarded immediately, otherwise evaporation of water will affect the quality of test package.

composition:

The packages shall consist of the following.

a)A suitable filling material containing, per 1000g:

– 230g of oxyethylmethylcellulose;

– 764.2g of water;

– 5g of 6-chloro-m-cresol.

The freezing point or this material is -1°C (its thermal characteristics correspond to those of lean beef).

b)The following alternative composition of test packages with a freezing point near -5°C may be used:

– 232g of oxyethylmethylcellulose;

– 725g of water;

– 43g of sodium chloride;

– 0.6g of 6-chloro-m-cresol.

In case of dispute, the composition of test package a shall be used as the reference test package.

For the measurement of chill compartments, only test package b, with a freezing point of -5°C, shall be used.

c)A wrapper, consisting of a sheet of plastic or any other suitable material of such a nature that exchange of moisture with the ambient medium is negligible. After filling, the wrapping sheet shall be sealed. It is advisable to use a laminated sheet ,consisting of layer of high-pressure polyethylene, easily sealable,120 um thick, together with an external sheet of polyethyleneterephthalate approxinately 12.5um thick, the two layers being bonded together.

dimensions and tolerances

Thte test packages used in the tests shall be in the form rectangular parallelepipeds.This size, priorto freezing, and their mass, packaging included, shall be in accordance with Table3.
